Start your new year’s resolutions right with some delicious healthy snack bars — and all of the ingredients can be found at your local Bulk Nation! Below is a base recipe that you can use to make a variety of bars. They store very well in the fridge or freezer, though you may want to wrap them in a bit of parchment paper before putting them in a container or plastic bag in the fridge so that they don’t stick together!

Start with:
2 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup nuts, roughly chopped
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

And here’s where it gets unique and fun! At this point, you can add about 3/4 cups total of extra mix-ins. That could be anything: dried fruits, coconut, chocolate chips, or more. Here are a few of our favorite mixes:

You can use your imagination and create an endless amount of variations that are sure to please even the pickiest eater in your family!

When the mix is ready, line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment or foil and lightly spray with cooking spray while you preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the oats and nuts on the baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Add the honey, butter, and brown sugar to a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, while stirring occasionally. When butter mixture is ready, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.

Pour this mixture over the oat and nut mixture and stir to combine. Add any extra mix-ins (except for chocolate) and stir to combine. If you are adding chocolate, wait for the mixture to cool before adding the chocolate and then stir to combine.

Place all of the oat mixture in the pan and press. Chill the granola bars for at least 2 hours. Lift the bars from the pan using the edges of the foil or parchment and place them on a cutting board. Cut into desired shapes and sizes and serve!
