Try a fresh take on breakfast!

Some mornings there’s just not enough time to have a big breakfast: You’re rushing out the door, trying to get shoes and backpacks on, or maybe you forgot you still have to get gas before work. But being in a rush doesn’t mean you still can’t have something yummy to eat before you start your day. Here are three quick smoothies you can take on the go!

COCONUT ALMOND SMOOTHIE

Who doesn’t love the creamy goodness of chocolate, coconut and almond? Try this tasty & fast recipe to start your day.

Ingredients:
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
1 cup dark chocolate almond milk
1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
1 rounded tbsp almond butter
1½ cups water
3 ice cubes

Instructions:
Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Add berries or a drizzle of honey on top & enjoy. Makes one serving.

MATCHA GREEN TEA CHIA PUDDING    

Matcha is packed with nutrients, and can even help you lose weight. Make this smoothie the night before to help you gain some more time in the morning.    

Ingredients:
2 cups hemp or almond milk
2 tbsp agave nectar, maple syrup, or honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp matcha powder
6 tbsp chia seeds
1 cup blueberries
1 cup raspberries

Instructions:
Blend the milk, sweetener, vanilla, and matcha together in a blender until smooth. Pour the liquid over the chia seeds and stir thoroughly. Stir again every few minutes for the next fifteen minutes. Then allow the mixture to sit for at least an hour (or overnight, in the fridge). Stir the mixture once more, and serve with fresh berries. Makes 2 servings.

CHOCOLATE COCONUT OVERNIGHT OATMEAL SMOOTHIE

Make this smoothie the night before and the end result is chocolate creamy goodness that you can grab on your way out the door.

Ingredients:
1 cup chocolate-flavored almond milk
¾ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon shredded sweetened coconut
1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 splash vanilla extract

Instructions:
Mix almond milk, chocolate chips, oats, chia seeds, coconut, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract in a 12-ounce mason jar. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight. Stir and serve cold.
